WILDLIFE SURVEYS

Helicopter surveys are used for obtaining deer and other wildlife (exotics, predators) populations which help to obtain information necessary to develop harvest recommendations based on goals.

Helicopter surveys benefit in that they are a cost saving measure for landowners and/or managers that do not have the time to conduct spotlight surveys and heard composition counts.

PREDATOR CONTROL

Predator control is a necessary tool in any successful Wildlife Management program.  Predators are an integral part of an ecosystem and it is sometimes just as important to control their numbers as it is the deer population.  Implementation of a predator control program can be an effective tool in protecting the deer and exotic herds on a ranch.

Predators that can be control by aircraft are feral hogs, coyotes, bobcats and red fox.

Cattle Work

Holt Helicopters has years of experience of being the "cowboy in the sky."  Helicopter cattle roundups are more reliable and cost effective.
Our pilots examine the lay of the land and determine the most efficient wat to move the cattle to the trap or pen.  With you on board or on the ground, we skillfully heard your animals the direction and distance you want. A second, or third, helicopter might be used depending on the nature and size of your ranch.

EXTERNAL LOAD

Holt Helicopters offers helicopter external load services under our FAA Rotorcraft External Load Operating Certificate FAR Part 133.  This allows us to externally move your supplies or equipment for you.

POWERLINE AND PIPELINE CONTROL

When it comes to transmission powerlines, reliability is the name of the game.  With the ever growing Federal regulation and reliability standards, aerial powerline patrols are a popular way to quickly check on the lines.  Whether it's inspecting the condition of the grid or finding those "danger trees" that can cost utilities millions of dollars, we can fit your needs.
